The Wii is actually a very proper console in what it offers the player. It does not have the technical possibilities of the others but it is what people expect from a console while the other two seem like PC-ripoffs. Very intelligent move.

Gaming evolved from pretending to play golf or bowling a long time ago, I mean thats what the real world is for... games are generally meant to give you an experience you will not experience in normal reality, my choice of words was probably wrong so it probably caused confusion. The market is dominated with games that aren't meant to be used on anything other than a mouse and keyboard or a joypad, why? Because over time thats what people have become used too and is what the old mainstream gamers will prefer to use, yes the Wii lets everyone use it and they can have fun but they can do most of the stuff on a wii in real life which is why I dont fully understand the purpose of it, although yes I do want one and no I dont think its crap at all, I prefer a 360 but I'd take a smashed up wii than a working PS3 anyday.

Also CoD4 is better on the 360, general reviews say so and so do I, its personal opinion afterall but according to game rankings:
Xbox 360 94.0%
PC 92.9%

Not much difference but it is a better percentage.

Wii is outselling the 360 but you have to look at target markets, Wii wants everyone from the ancient to the new born where as 360 targets GAMERS and the PS3 targets idiots:
The wii has sold 2.9 million more units than the 360 roughly now and its not suprising but the PS3 has sold less than half of the 360, PS3 SUX.

Gaming is always meant to be to have fun. Its only people that play have confused themselves into whats reality and for the experience. The Wii isn't trying to substitute for anything, its just another way to interact with the game.

You haven't really said why the 360 version is better than the PC other than "other people say its better, so it must be true"

Are you trying to say that people who play the Wii aren't gamers? That doesn't make any sense at all. Its really confusing whats the difference to "everyone that plays" and "gamers" that you saying is the target audience.

It's the way it should be.
As long as Windows LIVE isn't the median in which all systems meet on. After the debacle that was UAW, its obvious PC owners want nothing to do with LIVE and the need to have a Gold membership with it to play online competatively.

People Pay2Play for MMOs, not to be ranked on a ladder for FPS and RTS games.

By gamers I mean the majority of proper game players, such as Halo,GTA and CoD, basically the most popular stuff (wont be for long but so what), everyone that plays is as it sounds, there games that can be done in real life without the use of a console and most people can play easily, its hard to get your head around I know, im starting to confuse myself .

Wii = Everyone
360 = Gamers (Halo,MGS,GTA,HL2 ect.)
PS3 = Teh Sux

Basically the Wii doesn't target a audience, it wants everyone, they dont have to be gamers, when Bungie design Halo they design it for Sci Fi loving gamers, when they design bowling for the Wii they dont design it for bowling fans they design it for everyone.

Gaming isn't always meant to be fun = Grind but thats another subject im not gunna bother going into .

Dont worry if you still dont get it, I just say things as I see them, you may see things differently but you wont like PS3 unless your = .

Proper game players? Uhm the hell? How is the Wii having zelda any different? Both people who play are gamers. Or how about SSB brawl, Guitar hero 3? I think the term you are using is young adult. The Xbox 360 games target young adult.

There are some parts of hobbies thare aren't fun too but people who play sport for a hobby do them for reasons like doing it for the team. Sometimes people have to sacrifice some things to get the maximum amount of enjoyment out of a hobby.

The Xbox 360 has a much higher failure rate than the other consoles on the market.

Go go reliability!

I think that the OP is wrong in so many ways because of the hierarchy of the new console gaming revolution: Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft (in no order)

1st Gen: N64 over PS1 Nintendo Wins
2nd Gen: PS2 over GC and Xbox Sony Wins
3rd Gen: 360 over PS3 and Wii Microsoft Wins
4th Gen: Nintendo will win and repeat the trend

Many will disagree with me for 360 winning, but I have a prepared argument. 360 right now is on pace to be the most consistent longevity of a console game this gen. It right now has the best game line-up and it has the best online and best interface. PS3 will try to make a comeback with the upcoming titles, but price has an effect. Even though Wii has sold a lot, 360 is still overall the best console. Next year go Nintendo system i suggest to continue weird name trend and go with Nintendo Weeshnaw!

My friends who all have 360's are all like "omg you need to get teh Xbox."

I have never seen the point in getting a 360, as all the best games are coming out for PC anyways(CoD4). Plus, I would much rather play fps on PC then with a gamepad.

BTW... as to what makes someone a gamer, I think playing classic titles like Mario and Zelda makes you more of a game then anything else.

I am interested in why you think the 360 is the winner. So far the Wii has sold more than the 360 and the 360 has been out for longer. But talking about longevity and the 360 is best? The 360 breaks.... a lot. It has an extremely low reliability and not only does the Wii can connect to the DS, but you can play GC games as well! You can download older gen games too.

The 360 does that as well (plays and downloads retro games etc), and you can download movies, demos and other stuff.

You can also play xbox 1 games but you need the hard disc drive accessory plugged into your Xbox 360 to play them. If you've bought the 360 Core System which doesn't come bundled with the 20GB hard drive, then you cant unless you buy another drive.

You also need to update your Xbox360. And then you can finally play only a SET list of old xbox games.

Awesome backward compatibility.

Huh? The hell you smoking?

Q: What is Xbox backward compatibility?

A: Xbox® backward compatibility enables original Xbox® games on the compatibility list to be played on your Xbox 360™ console. Backward compatibility requires the Xbox 360 Hard Drive.

I am guessing you got the 20 gig HDD? Some people have the core systems.

Fair point, I was just merely pointing about that the 360 does have some backward compatibility, also forgot to say you can download some xbox 1 games (as well as all the retro ones).

For those of us who never had an XBox, backwards compatibility means squat. I mean how many RPGs that didn't make it to the PC for the first one are worth getting?

The only reason I'd even consider a 360 is because it has some exclusive RPGs, however I don't see what's being offered as justification of another system at this point.

the only thing is that those titles suck when they get ported over. i havnet seen a non buggy port. halo 2 or viva pinata are the prime examples. sure we can just blame it on vista (which still sux btw) but i prefer not too.

o rly? this makes COMPLETE sense cuz u know in the real world, success ISNT measure by the number of systems sold or critical acclaim.
